What Problem We Solve

Consistency Order After Order

A rated lift weight you can quote to your own customer, and a plating tone that still matches when you re-order twelve months later.

Why Buy From Us

Our Own Moulds And Our Own Line

Tooling, casting, polishing, plating, moulding, metallizing, assembly and load testing all happen under one roof in Wenzhou.

Manufacturing

From Zamak Ingot To A Plated Handle

Metal parts are die cast in Zamak #3, hand polished and electroplated. Plastic parts are injection moulded in ABS or PP, vacuum metallized and colour coated. Both routes run in the same building, which is why a metal handle and a plastic ornament can be matched to the same tone.

Raw Material

Zamak #3 ingot and ABS or PP resin checked before it goes into the cell.

Die Casting

Metal parts are die cast on our own machines from our own tooling.

Hand Polishing

Every casting is hand polished. Plating cannot hide a poor surface.

Electroplating

Gold, nickel, antique brass, antique copper or chrome.

Assembly

Arms, bars, caps and screws matched and assembled by hand.

Lift Weight Test

Load bearing models are checked on our own test rig before packing.

Quality Control

A Handle That Fails Is Not A Warranty Claim

A coffin handle is used once, in public, at the worst moment of someone's life. That is why we invested in lift weight testing equipment rather than quoting a load figure from a catalogue, and why load bearing models are checked during production instead of at the end.

  • Incoming material checked before the casting or moulding cell
  • In process inspection at casting, polishing and plating
  • Lift weight testing on load bearing models
  • Plating tone compared to the approved reference sample
  • Count and pack verified before the carton is closed

About Virtue Hardware

Trading Since 2007 Manufacturing Since 2016

Virtue Hardware started in the funeral business in 2007. At the beginning we were a trader for all kinds of funeral products, working with other factories on production while investing in our own moulds. In 2016 we established our own factory in Wenzhou, Zhejiang. It took two years to get production quality, mould development, management and quality control where we wanted them. Since 2018 the production and quality have been steady.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions buyers ask us most often, answered without marketing language.

What do you manufacture?
Coffin handles in metal and plastic, crucifix, cross and Christ figures, casket fittings, corners and swing bars, applied ornament, name plates and funeral urns. There are 312 references in the catalogue at the moment.
Are you a factory or a trading company?
Both, in sequence. Virtue Hardware started in the funeral business in 2007 as a trader, investing in our own moulds while other factories did the production. In 2016 we built our own factory in Wenzhou, Zhejiang. By 2018 the production and quality had settled and we have produced in house since then.
What materials do you work in?
Mainly Zamak #3 zinc alloy, die cast, hand polished and electroplated. We also produce in steel, stainless steel 304 and 316, aluminium alloy and brass, and injection mould in ABS and PP with vacuum metallizing for the economy and cremation ranges.
Can your handles take the weight of a loaded coffin?
Load bearing models carry a stated lift weight, commonly 100kg, 150kg or 200kg per piece depending on the design. We have lift weight testing equipment in the factory and check handles during production rather than relying on a catalogue figure.
What is your minimum order quantity?
It varies by product because tooling and plating batch sizes differ. The figure shown on each product page is the one that applies. Common minimums are 1000 or 2000 pieces, and 100 sets for handle sets.
What is your lead time?
Typically 30 days after the order is confirmed, with some references at 35 to 45 days. We sometimes hold stock, so if you need goods urgently it is worth asking the sales team first.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, worldwide, FCL or LCL. Most of our production has gone to Europe. Contact the sales department for freight cost and transit time to your location.
Can I get a sample before a bulk order?
Yes, samples are available for most products. Contact the sales team to discuss the details and the cost of the sample.
